Difference Between Save and Save as Option
Save and Save As option works same when you are saving a
file for the first time. Both save the file with a name and a selected
location. When you must save the changes in existing document “Save” button is
used. While “Save As “option is used to save the file with different name and a
location.
Save a File with “Save As” option:
“Save As” command used to save a revised documents to a new
name or location, keeping the original file as it was before revisions. For Example,
you want to save an existing file with new name “Tech for Earn” and om “Drive
(E).
The procedure to Save a file has the following steps:
Left click on the File Tab.
Click the option “save As “.
A small window will appear. Change the location and name of
the file and press save button.
File will be saved in the Drive (E) with the name “Tech for
Earn”.
Close the file.
Saved file can be open by clicking on the file menu and
selection close option.
Save a file with Save Option:
When you open an existing document and make any changes in
it. The changes made in the document can be save by clicking on the Save option
from the File Tab. Save option just the Changes in the document.
the shortcut key to save the file is CTRL+ S from the
keyboard. and other Shortcut keys of Save As is F12.
